• Open to young musicians residing in the UAE
• 5 -18 years
Participants must belong to one of the following four categories:
🎹 Piano
🎻 Bowed Strings
🎷 Woodwinds & Brass
🎙️ Voice
🎼 Classical Guitar
Participants must arrange their own accompanists where required.
Participants will compete in one of three levels, based on ability or achievement.
Participants must be available for all competition rounds.
Allocated time slot for the competition cannot be changed.
🎼 CLASSICAL GUITAR
• Accompanists are required for Rounds 1, 2 and 3 for bowed strings/ winds/ brass and Voice.
• Participants must arrange their own accompanists.
• The competition consists of three rounds, all held in person.
• All rounds are open to the public.
• Scores reset after each round; the jury determines which contestants’ advance.
• If a contestant withdraws, the next eligible participant may be invited.
Repertoire Guidelines
• Contestants must ensure their selections align with the required style, period, and time limits.
• Round 1 – 5 mins
• Round 2- 7 mins
• Round 3- 10mins.
• Repeating pieces from previous rounds is not permitted.
• Performances exceeding the time limit may be stopped.
• Once repertoire is submitted, it cannot be changed.
• Participants may use sheet music, but memorisation is encouraged.
🎹 PIANO
• Qualifying Round 1: Perform 1 piece of your own choice from the Baroque (1600-1750) /Classical (1750-1820) Eras. (Unaccompanied)
• Round 2: Perform 1 study of your own choice AND perform 1 piece of your own choice from the Romantic Era (1790-1850) /Contemporary piece (1945-present day) (Unaccompanied)
• Final Round 3: Perform 1 piece of your own choice. (Unaccompanied)
• Suggested Repertoire: 📄 List for Piano
• Qualifying Round 1: Perform 1 piece of your own choice with live accompaniment.
• Round 2: Perform 1 unaccompanied piece, or study, of your own choice AND perform 1 piece of your own choice with live accompaniment.
• Final Round 3: Perform 1 piece of your own choice with live accompaniment. (Preferably one movement of Sonata or Concerto)
• Suggested Repertoire: 📄 List for Bowed Strings
🎷 WOODWINDS & BRASS
• Qualifying Round 1: Perform 1 piece of your own choice. (Unaccompanied)
• Round 2: Perform 1 unaccompanied piece, or study, of your own choice AND perform 1 piece of your own choice with live accompaniment.
• Final Round 3: Perform 1 piece of your own choice with live accompaniment.
• Suggested Repertoire: 📄 List for Woodwind and Brass
• Qualifying Round 1: Perform 1 piece of your own from the Musical Theater Genre with live accompaniment. Must be from recognised stage musical theatre productions (Broadway, West End, or equivalent professional productions) – Not Disney or animated movie sound tracks.
• Round 2: Perform 1 study of your own choice AND perform 1 piece of your own choice from the Romantic Era (1790-1850) /Contemporary piece (1945-present day) (Unaccompanied)
• Final Round 3: Perform 1 piece of your own choice. (Unaccompanied)
• Suggested Repertoire: 📄 List for Voice
• Qualifying Round 1: Perform 1 piece of your own choice. (Unaccompanied)
• Round 2: Perform 1 study of your own choice AND perform 1 piece of your own choice. (Unaccompanied)

11: All decisions made by the judging panel are final.
• Travel, accommodation, and personal expenses are the responsibility of the contestants.
• Participants are required to adhere to the following dress code:
Rounds 1 & 2: Smart top and trousers/long skirt (below knees), no trainers or leggings permitted
Final Round: Formal Wear (black trousers or long skirt with a white shirt/ or black long dress, and formal black shoes)
* The Organisers reserve the right to deny a Participant the opportunity to perform if their attire does not meet the specified dress code.
• The Organisers reserve the right to modify rules or schedules if necessary.
• Practice rooms will be available 10 minutes before the audition time.
• By entering, participants grant permission for media and promotional use of competition materials.
• Registration fees are non-refundable.
• Specific performance times cannot be guaranteed due to scheduling constraints.
• Transport and parking details will be provided closer to the event date.
• The competition will not be live-streamed. However, photography is permitted, and an official photographer will be present.
• Winners must be available for any scheduled performances or media appearances.
• Participants must arrive at least 30 minutes before their performance time.
